Stuart-Lynn Company is working with architect Beyer Blinder Belle coordinating
numerous updates to the New York City’s historic City Hall building. The
project is a combination of eight different contract packages encompassing
infrastructure upgrades to the entire building to achieve compliance with
the newest New York City building codes. This includes the seamless
integration of new mechanical and technological systems into the existing
historic building, a structure built and renovated several times over many
decades with widely varied existing construction typologies from many different
eras in different portions of the building. The work includes the
complete historic restoration of the City Council Chamber Rotunda.
